NEW VIDEO / XMAS SHOWS / HAPPY NEW YEAR

See opposite our new video for 'Feel At Ease,' the final instalment in the 'Quality, First, Last & Forever!' video series. We hope you've enjoyed watching them as much as we have making them. It's not sleigh bells and reindeer but for those of you who, like me, find this time of year a bit of a struggle, this one's festive.

Thanks to everyone who has been so welcoming to us at the Cherry Ghost shows in Manchester and London this week, it is a wonderful way for us to finish off the year, and playing a few new songs! The road has been long and winding for us this year, and all that's left for 2011 is Colwyn Bay and Manchester Deaf Institue. See SHOWS PAGE for details.

Thanks also to everyone who came to see us at The Michelberger Hotel in Berlin, and our German friends at CO-OP. You try and stop us coming back again soon!

Happy new year everyone, and raise a glass to new adventures in 2012.

MOJO MAGAZINE presents 'Harrison Covered' a tribute to George ten years since his passing.

We were honoured to be asked to contribute to MOJO's tribute to George Harrison. We recorded our version of his song 'Your Love Is Forever' exclusively for the magazine with our friend and collaborator Richard Causon at his Leifstorm Studio (where and with whom 'Quality First, Last & Forever!' was made) and we even made a little film of the take.

CLICK HERE TO SEE THE FILM

We hope you like it. And do buy this months's MOJO to hear all the other wonderful interpretations.

ON BIG WATER FILM / THANKS TO RON SEXSMITH / ST. JAMES' CHURCH WITH THE BEES / LIVERPOOL MUSIC WEEK

To celebrate the release of our new album 'QUALITY FIRST, LAST & FOREVER!' we took a break from the road, and instead took to the water and chugged our way towards our Glastonbury Festival debut by canal boat. Not many bands do their album launch in Great Bedwyn, but we did. This brand new film 'ON BIG WATER' documents our journey aboard the newly christened 'Stargazer' as we, along with our good friends and fellow performers Benjamin Folke Thomas and Jack Day, go on yet another adventure.

On Wednesday night we had the great pleasure of playing with Ron Sexsmith at The Cafe De La Danse in Paris. It was a wonderful night, we love Paris very much, and want to say a big thanks to everyone who came along and indeed to Ron and his band for having us and being such jolly good chaps.

Head over to the SHOWS PAGE for info on our upcoming performances, including a very special night with The Bees at St. James', Piccadilly and Liverpool Music Week closing Party.

Best wishes and see you soon

PLEASURES OF JULY / UPCOMING SHOWS / HEAVENLY STORE / NEW VIDEO

Well, our seemingly never ending tour has finally come to an end. We've circled England's major cities, navigated the Kennet and Avon, braved the Highlands, and explored Ireland, as well as stopping off at a few festivals in between. Our Canal Tour film is almost finished, and we'll be having a special premiere in September so watch this space. We documented some of our travels in an article for Caught by the River, called 'The Pleasures of July' so do go read it over HERE.

We have a few festival left- Boardmasters this weekend and Greenman next, where we'll be taking over the cinema tent to show our Tin Tabernacle film on the Sunday afternoon, and playing some songs. You can also catch us at Cafe Irie in Newquay next monday 15th, or at the Cafe De la Danse in Paris supporting Ron Sexsmith on the 14th September, or supporting The Bees at St James in Piccadilly on 29th September. See the shows page for more details.

You can now visit our store on the Heavenly website HERE  should you wish to purchase our album on cd or 12" yellow vinyl, get a copy of our 'live from the tin tabernacle' 10", buy the Tin Tab film on DVD, or just get a 'Quality First, Last & Forever!' hand printed t-shirt or screenprint.

We had a few days off in the middle of our tour, so we made a new video for our current single 'Making it Count'. Hope you enjoy.

Think that's all folks, see you on the road somewhere!

best wishes

CANAL FILM / VINYL / IRELAND / POSTERS / FESTIVALS

We're half way through our touring schedule and have stopped at home for a breather before heading to Ireland on Friday. We've had an amazing few weeks, first on board our canal boat to Glastonbury, then touring the beautiful highlands of Scotland. We made a video diary for 'The Line Of Best Fit' whilst we were on the water, and you can now see all three parts over on the Heavenly website HERE.  We'll be making a full film of the journey, just as soon as our feet touch the ground, so watch out for that.

We've had lots of great news whilst we've been away - lots of radio play across Europe, and some great album reviews. Our Glastonbury show was chosen as one of Q magazines's top 25 performances of the festival, which can't be bad! We've just seen the 12" yello vinyl for the first time and it looks wonderful! There's still time to order yours from Rough Trade to receive a bonus copy of our '11 Nights Under Tin' tour film.

If you're a Londoner, I hope you've spotted one of our 'Quality First, Last & Forever' posters around town this last week. If you spot one, take a pic and post it on our facebook page HERE to win a limited edition screenprint. And don't forget to follow us on twitter to see what we're getting up to on our travels HERE.

We're off now to Ireland, to support Fionn Regan on his tour and to do a few other shows too, one of them supporting the Vaselines in Belfast which we're very excited about! We'll be back late July for a nice load of festivals; Port Eliot, Truck, Kendal Calling, Cambridge Folk, Boardmasters and Green Man, then we start heading to Europe in the Autumn, including a very special Paris show with Ron Sexsmith! So we do hope to see you along the way.

Season's Greetings one and all.

We've been in the studio in Wood Green, London, with the jolly talented Mr. Richard Causon for the last two weeks, and we are very pleased to inform you that we are half way towards finishing our new album. We have a title and all, but we shan't be telling you just yet. It is shaping up to be a wonderful record, if we don't say so ourselves, and can't wait to show you all the results.

I'm not the biggest fan of Christmas, so for those of you who, like me, count the days until January, you have one more reason to do so. Our Tin Tabernalce Tour is but 4 weeks (and a bit) away. It seems much longer given the great yule tide hurdle to clamber over, but before you know it we'll be hitting the highways and byways of England once again, and we very much hope to see you all under a tin roof somewhere.

We've put together a little film to tell you all about it (below). And do visit the Tin Tabernacle Tour page for more info and for tickets.

Older news...

The first episode of the 2010 has arrived, somewhat delayed having been snowed in and missing the first Lantern Society of the year, but episode 28 is now on the wire, and worth the wait it was.

Episode 28 recorded on 21.1.10 features live performances by (soon to be Lantern Players on the road) Benjamin Thomas and Jack Day. We hear Hankdog, Henry Dingle, Sally Brinkworth and Marcia Mello all the way from Nashvile US of A. Danny George Wilson gives us the title track from the new Champions of the World Album (OUT NOW!!) and the Lantern welcomes it's first Mercury and Brit award nominee Tom McRae to the hallowed stage. And last, and by all means least, the hosts do a number with a little help from the Lantern Players.

Want to join us on the road? Well click the poster opposite to buy a ticket, and you can also follow our new twitter (click the little birdy at the bottom of the page). Myself, Hannah-Lou, Ben, Pepe and Jack will all be regularly 'tweeting' the goings on, the weird and wonderful sights of Dilton Marsh, Hambledon, Egerton, Evershot, Freshwater, Wytham and Quorn. See how I fare spending long hours in the car with Benjamin Thomas, and see who is victorious, and how many times the board is thrown across the village hall, in mine and Jack Day's chess challenge.

TM&HL JOIN THE BOARD. RADIO HOUR23.

We we're honoured, and a little suprised to be invited to be commitee members for the Camden Crawl 2010, representing folk, country and roots music at the festival. Anyone who's ever been will know that it is a mamoth operation, defining the music of the capital, however our particular genre may have been under-represented in the past. TM&HL to the rescue! The festival planning is well under way, fellow commitee members ranging from us humble folk to Nihal off the 'real' radio, and by sheer coincidence Loose Music founder Tom Bridgewater, so we are very excited indeed to be involved. If you're dying to see a particular folk, country or roots act at this years Crawl do contact us.

Episode 23, now on the 'air', recorded on 15.10.09 features our esteemed friend Andy Hankdog's 'Lantern Lotto' approach to hosting, as well as lending us his chaotic words of wisdom alongside our landlord Raz, and performing a death defying circus stage show. Tonight sees performances by Jack Day and Sunnie Dae, and London's Finest Blues Club gets down and dirty with Gary Smith, Gabriel Mesh, and debutante, Lane. Newcomers John Aldington and Hattie Longfield impress, the latter being the subject of our competition time, and Irene Anderson does a 'van the man' in the way only she can. We also pluck a rare Tom Farrer track from the record collection and dwell momentarily upon the tragedy of gems gathering dust.

We're playing a very special show this monday at the Slaughtered Lamb alongside the Lost Brothers, not to be missed.

18TH DECEMBER 2008.
MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND ALL

Seasons greetings everyone.

What a difference a year makes. As we prepare to see in our first festive season and begin our first brand new year as man and wife, and duet, we are within touching distance of completing our new record. It's taking its time, but fear not for we have only done four days, and all of your favourite TM & HL songs are in the can, recorded live, it's just time for a little seasonal fairy dust. Many thanks to Romeo and Danny for their tireless support (we've been doing nights) and wizardry. If we don't say so ourselves it's turning out to be a masterful record, not least due to the help of those stunning boys.

We are doing a special extended show tonight at the Prince of Wales, in Iffley, Oxford. It's the last one of the year, and despite the equally seasonal coughs and colds we are looking forward to rounding off a wonderful year of new beginnings.

Merry christmas everyone. See you in 2009. It's going to be emotional.

7TH NOVEMBER. NEW BEGINNINGS.
Bleary eyed and joyous is this morning. Relief, new confidence and with renewed belief is how the World wakes up. Beside life's most momentus milestones it is all too easy to find oneself reacting against the repetative barrage of epic statement and almost gratuitous positivity. However, all this serves to achieve is to pass what are truely special moments worth lingering over and reflecting upon by. Especially as the road ahead is long and bumpy, and a quick stop for a cup of tea is never a chore.

My new wife and I stayed up all night, as you can probably ascertain from my hightened sense of woosy romance, not on marital duties but observing the onfolding story of not only the now most famous basketball player in the World opposite, but also of the most powerful and most irritating nation on Earth. A mere adolsecent nation hopefully now coming of age, and being given a key to the door. To you all I salute a job well done.

Hannah-Lou and I returned from our honeymoon in a log cabin in Finland and the beautiful medievel city of Tallinn, Estonia, on saturday morning. Rejuvinated by our time and our new union, it's now with excitement back to work. The album is to be finished this week, the Lantern Society is back this thursday, having never gone away, and The Champions of the World are hitting the road in two weeks, kicking off the 'Still Believe' Tour in Oxford on Tuesday 18th November. With additional members in the form of Hankdog, Jason McNiff and Pete Greenwood. See shows page for where to catch the travelling circus Champs in a town near you.

To the future

Best wishes and prosperity

6TH OCTOBER 2008. THE FANTASTIC FOUR.

Well, here we are. Two intrepid explorers on the brink. The sirens: illness, tragedy and circumstance have not dampened our spirits but stoked the fires and, finally, against implausible odds the tape is rolling.

Although not at Toe-Rag, appologies my analogue fanciers, this week will see a few days of live recording at fellow Champion of the World, and he's also in a band called the Magic Numbers I think, Romeo's Studio, somewhere in North London, with himself and Danny George Wilson at the controls.

Must fly.

We're playing at Dingwalls this week, Thursday 9th to be precise (buy tickets via the link at the top of the page) in support of Pete Molinari and Band. Will be a corker, and our album should be done too, so come see how fried we are.

Best wishes and prosperity

1 SEPTEMBER 2008. DOUBLEPLUSGOOD

Thanks to everyone who took a stand against the culture crunch and turned out in their droves to the 100 Club last month. it was a really special night for us seeing so many familar fond faces in the crowd.

Unfortunately due to scheduling complications the recording of the now ridiculously over antisipated debut Trevor Moss and Hannah-Lou record has yet again been postponed. We are exploring alternative studios in which to make the album so as to cook this biscuit a soon as possible.

The Lantern Society, the last bastian of health and worthiness has descended into a fortnightly debaucherous romp 'til dawn. Our good ship Lantern has become a woman of disrepute, and she now welcomes allcomers come and have a play and stay the night every 1st and 3rd thursday of the month. How could you refuse.

The 'Our New, Happy Life' session recorded at Andy Hankdog's subterranean lair is now on the site. This was our last preproduction session for the album, so have a listen to see how things are shaping up.

Regards,
Trevor Moss & Hannah-Lou.

1ST JULY 2008. INFLUENZA!! INFLUENZA!!

Our long awaited new album is awaiting even longer as the dreaded and seemingly inevitable bug has hit us. Liam and ourselves are patiently now waiting until the 18th August for recording to commence.

In the meantime we will be stoking the fire and burning the midnight oil at the Lantern Society, which this month in additon to the 1st and 3rd thursday of the month at the Betsey Trotwood, will see the first lantern outpost at the Queens Arms,Egerton Forstal, Kent. We've got all the lantern favourites coming down (see shows page posters for more details), and it's shaping up to be unmissable.

Thanks to everyone who made us feel very welcome at the Wild West Country show last saturday, we were overwhelmed by the hosptiality and enthusiasm showed by everyone, our hosts and the audience, and we very much hope to be back next year if not much much sooner.

best wishes and go long

8th JUNE 2008. NEW WEBSITE LANUNCHED!! RECORD ON ITS WAY!!

Hello everyone, and welcome to our brand new website, launched today!!

We are all set to record our debut duet record. Recording begins the week of the 16th June, and shall be taking place at London's famous Toe-Rag Studios, with of course none other than Mr. Liam Watson in the driving seat.

Preproduction is reaching its final stages now, and a track listing will be available as soon as we've decided it. Those of you who know us will understand given how prolific we are how difficult it has been to select the album from the some 50 songs you've heard us play live over the last few months, so if we've left out any of your favourites we apologise, give us a heckle and we'll happily oblige to play whatever you wish.

We've got a few exciting shows coming up, see the SHOWS page for details, and you can also catch us as CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD, with Danny George Wilson over the summer. See the links page for his site.

Its good to be back.
best wishes, Trevor Moss and Hannah-Lou. x
